Connect, The Fabelist at A-Side B-side Gallery

In Connect, eighteen emerging and established artists, writers and musicians explore how artistic creation can re-connect us to our lived experience of the world.

Between the 21st and the 25th November 2013 the gallery space will resonate with interweaving visual and auditory dialogues of installation, painting, music, spoken word and sculpture which, invite the viewer to engage with the sensuality of creative expression.

Nicola Anthony is invited to take part in a group exhibition at Royal College of Art, London, on Nov 20. The exhibition, Art for Youth London, supports very worthy causes, and Nicola will be donating proceeds to the charity. To date it has raised over £1 million for the national youth work charity, UK Youth.

Synaesthesia and the Senses

A multi media labyrinth of different sensory states presented by Fabelist Collective.

Between 22nd August and 1st September Unit 3 Projects (Empson St, E3 3LT) will be transformed into an immersive world of specially commissioned painting, text, music and sculpture as nine emerging and established artists magnify their sensory responses to the world around them.

The Displaced

Nicola Anthony collaborates with Butoh dancer Syv Bruzeau at The Displaced (The Arts House). Her saga seed installation will feature in Syv's performance, taking place at 8pm.

In this performance artwork, 6000 saga seeds and one human body interact with a space filled with words, light, and mandalas. Both the performer’s body and the seeds eventually transcend their own borders, and are carried away by the audience.

Nicola Anthony's 8,900 saga seeds installation artwork Pass It On will be exhibiting in 'Displacements'.

"Displacements is an art exhibition/festival at a soon to be torn down 77 year-old pre-war bungalow (after being sold to a developer) in the Mt Sophia area. The exhibition will showcases artists debuting newly-commissioned work across a range of media (painting, ceramics, photography, installation, performance, sound art). This interactive community art space will interpret the theme of displacement in all its various forms (geographical, temporal, cultural etc.) and speak to the Singapore’s changing urban landscape and population demographic."

minimART will showcase local artists' works in response to an open call to transform a 1m x 1m x 3m space into a contemporary art.
