Krísis presents an exhibition and events programme with international visual and performance artists, to engage you with multifaceted perspectives on the meaning of ‘crisis’, and its understanding within the current socio-political climate. Featuring Nicola Anthony's sculptural installation 50 Skies: 50 Scars.
This October, Nicola Anthony has been invited into NPE Print's Art Residency Programme 2016. Located in the heart of the traditional industrial/print sector of Kallang, Singapore, Nicola aims to utilise the residency and unique studio space/facilities for experimentations with new paper-based and incense-burnt drawing techniques, as well as light projections and large-scale creations. And ultimately, to create a body of works for a collaborative project with local poet Marc Nair, called 'Intersection'.
Nicola Anthony's artwork "Metamorphosis" is selected as one of the finalists for a sculpture commission requested by Sentosa HarbourFront Business Association (SHBA). The sculpture is to take part in the third edition of the event "the Great Egg-Venture” held at Sentosa, Singapore.
Nest is a sculpture commissioned by the National Arts Council for Singapore Art Week 2016.
Built using hundreds of thousands of paper scrolls, Nicola creates the Nest with inspiration drawn from her art residencies in South East Asia and research investigating the scroll in art and history: as vehicles for passing along secrets, knowledge, folklore and histories.
