Artist Talk | An Evening with the Artists of 'Singapore's Intertwined Roots' exhibition

Join us for an evening conversation with the artists of group exhibition 'Singapore's Intertwined Roots'.

Since the 15th century, Singapore has been at the crossroads of commercial routes. From China and central Asia to Europe, from Yemen and Oman to Singapore, merchants have travelled with the monsoon winds and stopped over in Singapore exchanging silk, spices, fragrances and more. Rich cultural interactions occurred in the wake of these commercial exchanges.

This group show proposes to discover Singapore’s cultural roots through artworks by Armenian, Malay, Chinese and Indian artists: Sharis Garabedian, Julayla Jalil, June Lee Yu Juan, Pang, Marc Nair, Kavita Issar Batra, Nicola Anthony.
