The Human Archive Project was conceived by artist Nicola Anthony as a platform for research into the stories, social memory and oral history, the Archive maps different types of human experience via this anonymous online portal as well as personal interviews.
The Human Archive Project has become a catharsis, a place for difficult admissions and sharing secrets.
The archive is especially concerned with voices which have been forgotten, erased, or omitted in the public realm, and also guides individuals to focus on those unutterable or suppressed things within their own selves.
The most recent public text sculpture was created for Wexford Art Centre and the National Design Centre showcasing stories from this archive on the theme of serendipity. These are a continued narrative from the previous works at Singapore Art Museum, which featured testimonies from those in disenfranchised communities.
