SOMETIMES LOST YET ALWAYS FOUND

This is an anonymous story collected from the public as part of THE WOKINGHAM ARC PROJECT.

I am a girl, a woman, a mother, a wife. Sometimes lost yet always found. Strong career woman and vulnerable new mum of two tiny boys. Reaching out for help, thankful for the community. Therapy is revealing a new perspective (our) and growth after becoming a mum.

Taking the chance and opportunity to slow down and be present makes me feel alive. Watching my two sons play, the laughter in the noisy playground (Elms Park), holding their hands crossing the road, wiping their grazed knees, drying their tears.

Home to me is familiar, calm and safe. It's a feeling of pure belonging, recognising faces of friends, feasting together around the table.

Plentiful, abundant and full of joy. Watching the deer roam in the garden, dancing in the kitchen and bedtime stories and cuddles after Friday movie night on the sofa.

For the future of Wokingham, I wish for an active, healthy, vibrant community. An old market town turned modern and thriving. Blood pumping, beating heart, bringing us together – young and old supporting and living hand-in-hand. No more homelessness or wanting for food.

The struggle of modern life – too busy, too full, two scheduled. Too much stuff, not enough time. Changing definition of success and what it means – to go back to basics and value how we spend our time wisely, it is our biggest wealth.
