"Art and science come together at this new exhibition, where Edible Art Movement's Cirque du Scent has morphed into a new shape at NTU.
EAM is collaborating with Nanyang Technological University’s professors in order to add a layer of scientific wonder to the Cirque du Scent…. if you loved it or even missed it the first time, please join us at this exclusive new rendition of Cirque du Scent. Watch this space for the dates of the drinks evening, when it will be open to the public, or email us if you would like to visit the show during other times (by appointment only!)
*** What is Cirque du Scent? ***
Foodstuffs are all around us, connecting us to cultural inspiration and the layers of time. Throughout history, artists have been inspired by the scents and aromas of food, leading them to to create great artworks: From Da Vinci’s Last Supper, to Manet’s Le Dejeuner Sur l’Herbe, to Dali’s Lobster Telephone...
Over many years, the Edible Art Movement has captured, bottled and labeled these scents so that future generations of creatives may be similarly inspired.
Become part of our archive by helping EAM gather more research: enter our edible olfactory world and tell us your unique, human, personal scent associations.
We invite you to:
1. Enter the EAM Cirque du Scent
2. Select an olfactory offering from the drawing table
3. Sniff & be inspired
4. Draw or write the first thing that comes into your mind"
