Join Nicola Anthony for an evening conversation with fellow artists from group exhibition 'Singapore's Intertwined Roots'.
Since the 15th century, Singapore has been at the crossroads of commercial routes. From China and central Asia to Europe, from Yemen and Oman to Singapore, merchants have travelled with the monsoon winds and stopped over in Singapore exchanging silk, spices, fragrances and more. Rich cultural interactions occurred in the wake of these commercial exchanges.
This group show proposes to discover Singapore’s cultural roots through artworks by Armenian, Malay, Chinese and Indian artists: Sharis Garabedian, Julayla Jalil, June Lee Yu Juan, Pang, Marc Nair, Kavita Issar Batra, Nicola Anthony.
We invite you to an evening with artists whose work reflects the Singapore's melting pot.
