Press Release: Summer Exhibition at Royal Society of Sculptors

This year I made a series of 16 sculptures about the delicate balance of science and faith that have been keeping us afloat and will send us into the future. The sculptures contain fortunes, magic spells, genetic code, block chain, big data and delicate hopes. I cut their words and phrases into peeled paint, and suspended this in a glass bottle. These artworks have now been selected by curator Sigrid Kirk to be part of the Summer Exhibition at Royal Society of Sculptors.

Sigrid Kirk says of the show, “What struck me was the capacity for artists to explore and push in so many directions and while much of the sculpture deals with serious issues there is also a wonderful and palpable sense of mad play. These are objects that are going to be fun to look at and live with."
