The first solo exhibition of Nicola Anthony in Ireland, exploring themes of isolation, loneliness and disconnect.
The artwork features the life story of Jona Goldrich, a holocaust survivor who escaped from Poland during WW2. Jona’s testimony has been sculpted into an artwork by contemporary artist Nicola Anthony. The Sculpture will be open to public in December 18
Revealing the inner worlds of people from different walks of life through stories gathered from the community, this two-part presentation by artist Nicola Anthony explores the human condition and threads of commonalities despite our differences.
The Human Archive Project focuses on disenfranchised communities and human stories in Singapore. Nicola's work is inspired by the inmates of Changi Women’s Prison, NUH kids, families dealing with addiction, the elderly community, and members of the general public, who are invited to contribute stories about themselves at www.humanarchiveproject.com
This exhibition encompasses layered ink drawings on calligraphy paper and installations by Nicola Anthony, and poetry by Marc Nair. Intersection is an artistic map exploring geographies, names, stories and memories in three cities, Singapore, London and Yangon.
Carrying the weight of a secret all by yourself can be burdensome, but British artist Nicola Anthony has invited a public catharsis. Entitled Secret Ingredient, this new site-specific artwork will be a collection of private thoughts shared anonymously by the public and woven into an installation of light and language. These sentences, handwritten by the artist, take shape based on the paths mapped during her walks around the Telok Ayer area. Secret Ingredient will also debut her new collection of circular drawings, based on geography and unknowable secrets.
The exhibition is curated by independent curator Daniela Beltrani.
